After WWDC: iOS and MacBook Tips That Actually Matter for Repairs

Apple’s June updates always spark feature talk — but for day-to-day ownership, backups and battery health still matter more than new icons.

Before a major iOS update, back up to iCloud or a computer. After updating, watch for unusual heating or rapid drain; sometimes a battery that was already weak becomes obvious. On MacBooks, leave enough free storage for the system and keep an eye on swollen batteries that lift the trackpad.

If something feels wrong after an update, do not force DIY board work. Our team can separate software glitches from hardware faults and quote a clear fix.

Create a local backup before large updates when you can. If the Mac refuses to boot afterward, note any error messages and bring the charger — it helps us separate power faults from storage or board issues faster.
